February Obsessions

Hello there everyone!
I hope you're all well, even when the weather is this awful and miserable. A good cup of tea and an afternoon spent inside in the warm always cures it though!

I haven't written about my current favourites in over a year! So, today I'll be revisiting, and shall be writing about a few of my current obsessions that I've become addicted to lately. I always find obsession posts thrilling to read, most probably just because I can justify buying more things ;)

Finger top rings - River Island

Lately, I've have been obsessed with wearing finger top rings, I'm in love! I've constantly been on the hunt for some, and could never find any, mainly because of my humongous manly hands hehe. I went to Cardiff a few weeks ago and found so many gorgeous finger top rings; there were so many there that I originally picked up £24 worth of rings..*insert shocked face* but not to fear, I restrained myself and only chose £9 worth of beautifulness.

I fell in love when I saw them on the stand, and I will forever love RI's affordable jewellery range. I would strongly recommend River Island if you're looking for basic pieces of jewellery, such as pearls, cheap and cheerful earrings, and cute, dainty necklaces.

Here you can see some of the rings in a closer detail. The pack of two really caught my eye, as lately I've loved incorporating daisies into my wardrobe ready for the spring, whether it's on my jewellery or clothes. For a mere £3 for each set, you really can't go wrong for some statement jewellery to spruce up an outfit!

Gold watches - TKMAXX

I know I'm jumping onto this whole 'gold watch' bandwagon incredibly late, but seeing as I'm wearing mine everyday, I thought it would be best to include it. I've been incredibly envious of everyone who had Michael Kors watches for Christmas, so I decided to find an affordable substitute until I can manage to part with a wad of cash for his stunning arm candy. I had almost given up my search until I looked in my local TKMAXX store, and found this gorgeous golden beauty.

This watch is from the brand 'Jules & James', and was priced at £14.99, a bargain! It's has an adjustable strap which has detachable links if it's too big, a large golden face which shows the numbers and markings clearly, pink jewels inside the numbers, and a golden dial on the right side of the face. Ever since buying it, I've not stopped wearing it, it's now on my wrist every day, and does not let me down!

Viva La Juicy - Debenhams

The infamous Juicy Couture scent of Viva La Juicy has been an obsession of mine for around two years. I've been through so many bottles of this it's unbelievable! I can't even begin to describe the smell of it, all I can say is that it's heavenly and strong and just delicious!

Healthy Eating & Walking

Ever since the new year, I've tried to eat a lot healthier, and become fitter. I've had major setbacks from before Christmas & new year, such as breaking my foot, meaning I wasn't able to start exercising until last week. I've been walking every day since I was given the all clear, and I'm loving how much better I am feeling. I've totally cut out McDonald's, KFC, junk food, pizza's, chips, chocolate etc, and believe me, it was so difficult to start. I'm now following a healthy meal plan filled with fruit and vegetables and I feel 10x better. Before, I felt sluggish, I was constantly tired and grumpy, my skin was really bad, and I had no energy. Even from a few weeks of eating fresh foods, I can feel such a difference; I'm not as tired, I'm energetic, a lot happier, and my skin is starting to clear up. All around excellent news! :)
If you're still sticking to your new year resolutions, leave me a comment so we can motivate each other and keep all of this positivity going!

One last thing that I'd like to ask is whether anyone had any requests or any suggestions that I could write about! I'd like to write things that people actually found helpful or interesting, so if you want to leave me a comment it would be much appreciated! :)

Thanks for reading sweets, hope everyone is having a good week and isn't too sad about this weather!

Am I in trouble? *gulp*

Hello everyone!

Well, this is certainly strange. In fact, I'm not quite sure how to start off!

So, it's been a year since my last post, and boy oh boy have things changed.

I've left sixth form (and all the troubles it bought me), and from September 2013 have been attending University! I know! Shocking! A levels happened..so did the many nights of celebration and drinking my sorrows away.. But the important thing is that I passed! And I am currently studying an honours degree to become a qualified primary school teacher. You might be wondering where I'm studying? Well that would be telling! But I still live at home, with my mum, dad and several kitty cats! I am fortunate enough to have a car to travel back to university everyday, which sadly prevents me from rolling out of bed, walking from a flat to the campus in my pyjamas, and shocking everyone with my attractive bed hair and appealing slipper socks.
Attending university has definitely made me grow up, accept the fact that it's a big ol'world out there, and I need some good preparation under my belt for later on in life! *mainly due to hour long rants from family members*

I couldn't wish for anything to go any better right now! (Well, except for getting good marks on my assignments, that would be the cherry on the cake!)

I've recently submitted my two latest assignments in the past 10 days (yes, I nearly died from stress overload, no, I'm not feeling overly confident about my marks!) so I decided it was time to whip out the camera and macbook, and get my fingers working! You can hopefully look forward to some pages of waffling ideas from my mind, and little updates here and there.

So yes! I've got a few ideas up my sleeve to unleash on you all, which I hope you will enjoy. But, sadly, that's all from me tonight, I should really get to sleep for tomorrows lectures *in reality, saying I should get to sleep just means I'll be browsing tumblr in bed until 2am and then complain in the morning*

Thanks for reading sweets :)

My latest obsession!

Hello everyone!

Lately, I've become addicted to shopping online, and my favourite websites have been Etsy and Ebay, which my best friend introduced to me. I always knew these sites were good, but since I created an account I have not spent much of my time on other websites! Ebay has to be my favourite, as there are so many different things to buy, whether it be house decorations or new shoes, it is FAB! Etsy however has so many cute and individual trinkets available I could spend all day just adding new items to my wish list and think about what I could do with them, or how I could style them!

My latest hunt has been for an infinity necklace, and after searching all fashion websites and failing to find the perfect match, I decided that Ebay and Etsy would be my saviour, and let me tell you, they didn't disappoint!! It's now come to the point where I'm having to stop myself from buying several different styles, they're all so beautiful and cute!!

My first love was the Tiffany & Co Infinity Necklace, but with a hefty price tag of £205 it was out of the question.

Tiffany & Co Infinity Necklace

After searching on Ebay and Etsy, I have found very simular necklaces for a fraction of the Tiffany's price tag!

Another obsession I have lately are white tattoos! Yes, people have very varied opinions on tattoo's, but personally I love them, and think they're a wonderful way to express yourself! I have become overly obsessed with white tattoos as they're normally quite small and can easily be hidden for job interviews or formal occasions! Below are a few of my favourites!

(I don't know if I'll ever get one, but a girl can dream!!)

Well everyone, that's all from me! I'm going shopping to Cardiff tomorrow, so I will write a haul post as soon as I've got time! But you can keep in touch with me on my twitter :) (@sophie_ctr)

I shall speak to you all very soon! Thanks for reading sweeites!

Love and hugs

Absence

Well hello everyone!

I'm terribly sorry that I haven't been present for a very long time, who knew A Levels and teenage life would be such hard work?!

In all honesty my life has been very hectic due to various reasons:
  1. I'm currently learning to drive, and in the process of booking my practical test
  2. I've sat a few exams, and have completed my A Level in Health and Social Care, just waiting for my exam results now! :)
  3. I'm applying for university! It's so exciting but so nervous at the same time!! (I'm going to write a post on this very soon!)
But, hopefully, now exams are over and my life is a little less stressful, I can finally come back to blogging, and keep you lovely lot updated in my life! :)

One thing that has kept me happy and uplifted me is all of the videos of Zoe (Zoella) and Louise (sprinkle of glitter). I am faling in love with their relationship, it never fails to make me laugh, and I just normally end up spurting out my cup of tea all over my laptop, and my parents questioning my sanity! But seeing their videos and reading their blog posts have made me keep my calm through stressful times, and I can't thank them more!

Righty, that's all from me for now, but I'm currently writing another post to release sometime this week! If you would like to keep in touch with me, add me on twitter! My username is Sophiealice13 I would love to see some more followers to join me so we can have plenty of chats!!

Lovely to speak to you all again, hope you don't get bored of me soon!

Lots of love and hugs

Clash of the Corals..

Hello everyone!

Today, when I got home early from school, I decided to paint my nails (again...), but I didn't know what colour. I deliberated over a cup of tea, and decided that I would choose coral! My favourite coral colour I have is Rimmel London Professional Finish - 317 Coral Romance

(please ignore the title, I thought it would be rather a catchy one to use!) ;)

A few weeks ago when we had the reeeeally hot weather, I used this on my tippy-toes and my nails, and so many people asked me where I got it from.

I picked mine up from boots when they were doing the 3 for 2 on all makeup brands, and just wanted to try the range out. When I bought it, it was £4.59, but I got it for nothing because I bought other things.

This colour is just perfect for spring/summer days, when you're out in the sunshine. It reminds me so much of red telephone boxes, haha.

Right, I'll be off, need to go and do some revision for my exams in a few weeks (eek, so nervous!)

Thanks for reading, and I'll be back soon with a more exciting post in a few days!

N.O.T.D

Hello everyone!

Lately, I've been loving painting my nails every 2/3 days, because they're getting so long but still keeping really strong! :)

Yesterday I painted my nails this beautiful burgundy Nails Inc. polish, called 'hampstead heath', and I've had lots of compliments off family and friends.

Recently, I've been applying a glitter top coat onto my ring finger on each hand, and LOVE IT! The one I used on this look was 'Wet n Wild's Kaleidoscope' which I picked up last year in Tesco.

I absolutely love the look of Nails Inc. products, they always look so sleek and professional.

As you can see, In some lights it's a dark burgundy, but it others light it can be quite a 'popping' colour.

I really love the look of dark nails with glitter, I think its because it reminds me of christmas!! :)

As you can see here, this glitter polish has gorgeous multi-coloured glitter in it, and is perfect to add a little fun to your nails!

I really love this polish, and will definitely be investing in more of their glitter shades! :D

Well, that's it for today! I'll be uploading more of these soon as they're so quick to write and take pictures of!

Thanks for reading everyone!

p.s. please can you leave a request for a blogpost in the comments, as I'm quite stuck for ideas! Thanks! :)

I'M BACK!!

Hello everyone!

I know I haven't been updating you at ALL but I've been so busy the past few months, mainly due to coursework, exams, and life! :)

Im hoping to be gradually getting back into blogging soon, as I have a month of study leave in a few weeks!

I'm going to try to do a N.O.T.D post after this, as I'm loving painting my nails recently as they've gotten so much stronger and longer! :D

If you could, please can you leave comments saying what you'd like to see me write about, because I'm quite stuck for ideas, and need a little bit of help :)

Thanks for sticking with me!
